This unit should be assessed in a work environment and is subject to the requirements set out in the Assessment Strategy for the sector in which it is being assessed.

The assumed pre-requisite is that the learner undertaking this unit will be an experienced operator in a laundry or dry cleaning environment.

This unit should not be taken prior to taking ‘How to dry-finish and inspect garments using a tunnel finisher.’

Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Be able to make machinery and equipment ready for use	1.1	Check that the equipment is safe and ready for use

2	Be able to select the work required	2.1	Plan the work to make the best use of resources
