Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Understand why young people become involved in crime.	1.1	. Outline two reasons why young people become involved in crime.
2	Appreciate the consequences of crime on different people.	2.1	. Identify the consequences of a given crime for: a) the victim b) the offender c) others.
3	Demonstrate knowledge of the Criminal/Youth Justice System. (LA36)	3.1	. Identify and outline each stage of the Criminal/Youth Justice System from reporting through to sentencing.

4	Appreciate custodial and alternative forms of sentences.	4.1	. State two arguments for and two arguments against custodial sentences.
