Know how to deliver retail products to the customer’s premises

1.1

show that they know how to check that they have all the products they are due to deliver

1.2

show that they know the equipment and paperwork they need to make deliveries and where to get these

1.3

show that they know what delivery details they need and where to get these

1.4

show that they know what sources of information to use for route planning, and how to use these

1.5

show that they know the importance of planning an efficient delivery schedule and how to do this

show that they know how to check that they have enough fuel for their delivery schedule, and company procedures for getting more fuel if needed

show that they know how to transport products and equipment safely and securely

show that they know why it is important to deliver products at the times agreed with customers

Deliver retail products to the customer’s premises

2.1

check that they have all the products they are due to deliver

2.2

check they have the equipment and paperwork needed for the delivery

check that they have all the delivery details they need and that they know how to get to the delivery address

plan a schedule of deliveries which makes the best use of time and other resources

check that they have enough fuel for their delivery schedule and follow company procedures for getting more fuel if needed
