Be able to assist with crosscutting trees using hand tools or power saws

1.1

Crosscut trees safely, effectively, and efficiently so that the resultant timber is to the given size specifications

1.2

Use both single and multiple crosscutting methods recommended by the guidance given in the current industry-recognised guide

Maintain machinery and equipment efficiently and as per recommendations

Be able to assist with stacking converted produce manually

2.1

Carry out stacking both in the wood and at the roadside safely, effectively, efficiently, as directed, and so as to facilitate any extraction or onward despatch

Maintain tools and equipment efficiently and as per recommendations

2.3

Keep accurate and up-to-date records as required by legislation and by the organisation
