Assessment Guidance

As an E3 level unit it is expected that the learner for the majority of the assessment will be acting independently with any support being minimal. Practical tasks should normally be in a real environment.

Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Be able to identify the context of volunteering.	1.1	. State the name and purpose of the organisation for which s/he volunteers.
		1.2	. State the difference between a volunteer and an employee.
		1.3	. Identify two strengths s/he brings to the organisation.
		1.4	. Give a reason for volunteering.
2	Understand what tasks are necessary.	2.1	. Outline the job s/he does.
		2.2	. Identify two tasks that need to be done.
		2.3	. Identify some other work the organisation does.
3	Be able to follow instructions to complete a task.	3.1	. Identify the person who tells her/him what to do.
		3.2	. Listen to instructions.
		3.3	. Ask questions if clarification is needed.
		3.4	. Help to carry out two tasks.
4	Be able to evaluate self in the role as a volunteer.	4.1	. Identify what s/he did well.
		4.2	. Identify any areas for improvement.
		4.3	. Identify one thing s/he enjoyed about the work/tasks.
		4.4	. Suggest what s/he has contributed to the organisation.
