As an E3 level unit it is expected that the learner for the majority of the assessment will be acting independently with any support being minimal. Practical tasks should normally be in a real environment.
Be able to identify the context of volunteering.
. State the name and purpose of the organisation for which s/he volunteers.
. State the difference between a volunteer and an employee.
. Identify two strengths s/he brings to the organisation.
. Give a reason for volunteering.
Understand what tasks are necessary.
. Outline the job s/he does.
. Identify two tasks that need to be done.
. Identify some other work the organisation does.
Be able to follow instructions to complete a task.
. Identify the person who tells her/him what to do.
. Listen to instructions.
. Ask questions if clarification is needed.
. Help to carry out two tasks.
Be able to evaluate self in the role as a volunteer.
. Identify what s/he did well.
. Identify any areas for improvement.
. Identify one thing s/he enjoyed about the work/tasks.
. Suggest what s/he has contributed to the organisation.
