Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Demonstrate knowledge of consumable materials and equipment on a typical production line. (SLlr/L1.2)	1.1	. Identify the main features of a sewing machine needle.
		1.2	. Identify needs for different types of sewing machines, for example, lockstitch, overlocker, button sew, blind hem.
		1.3	. Select the correct needle size and type for a range of different fabrics.
		1.4	. List the threads commonly used in the industry.
		1.5	. Outline the procedure for monitoring and replacing consumables.
