Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria

Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Demonstrate skills to act as an assistant stage manager at a specified music event and recognise own potential to stage manage a music event.	1.1	Use a given stage management plan to clarify their role in assisting in the stage management at a specified music event.
		1.2	Undertake the role of assistant stage manager at the music event specified in 1.1, responding effectively to direction from the stage manager (or tutor) undertaking delegated tasks as required, including: a. effective liaison with artists, crew, PA and lighting engineers (where applicable); b. promotion of health & safety policies with regard to electricity, trip hazards, manual handling, working at height, smoking and noise exposure (this list is not exhaustive); c. ensuring artists are in place as required during set-up and sound/line-check times and pre/post performance.
		1.3	Assess personal success in the role of assistant stage manager in relation to the event specified in 1.1, responding to feedback from the stage manager (or tutor), highlighting strengths and areas for development.
