show that they know the names of the cut flowers the store sells, and how to identify these flowers

show that they know the main reasons why customers buy cut flowers from the store, what customers expect in terms of freshness and long life, and how the quality of the display affects sales

show that they know how to judge whether cut flowers are fresh enough for display, including how to recognise when flowers are in bud, blooming, overblown and decaying

show that they know why they need to remove flowers which are not fresh enough, including how these affect the condition of nearby flowers
