Learning Outcome - The learner will:		Assessment Criterion - The learner can:
1	Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety measures relating to directing performers. (SLlr/L1; SLc/L1)	1.1	Formally agree to health and safety rules for performance environment.
2	Read performance material for the purposes of direction. (text, score, script) (SLlr/L1; SLc/L1)	2.1	Read a short text/score/script and identify essential details for direction, for example, performers, locations, instruments.
3	Plan for performance based on performance material (text, score, script). (SLlr/L1; SLc/L1)	3.1	Produce a simple plan which identifies key elements, for example, characters, set/setting, instruments/ensemble, based on performance material supplied.
4	Direct rehearsal for performance. (Wt/L1; SLlr/L1; SLc/L1)	4.1	Write a call sheet for rehearsal of short, simple piece.
		4.2	Direct piece achieving planned performance.
		4.3	Comment on results.
