Structure Requirements
Learners must gain a minimum of 150 credits to achieve the Level 3 Extended Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (QCF). Learners must achieve 27 credits from mandatory Group B and 65 credits from mandatory Group C. Group D is made up of 3 pathways (Groups E, F and G). Learners must choose either Group E, F or G. Learners choosing Group E must achieve 22 credits. Learners choosing Group F or Group G must achieve 13 credits. Learners must achieve either 16 or 25 credits from optional Group I: learners who chose pathway Group E must achieve 16 credits and learners who chose pathway Groups F or G must achieve 25 credits. Learners also need to achieve a minimum of 20 credits from optional Group J.
The awarding organisation states that this qualification is appropriate for use in the following age ranges.
