Candidates who have achieved NVQ units within the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) with Cskills Awards or with another Awarding Organisation may be considered as exemptions from the equivalent units within the QCF.

Structure Requirements
To achieve this qualification candidates must complete the mandatory units in Group B1; plus one optional unit from Group B2. Candidates must complete one pathway from Group C to achieve a minimum total of 41 credits. In addition candidates may choose to do any one of the Additional units from Group D. Credit from this will be noted on the certificate, but will not count as part of the qualification.
The awarding organisation states that this qualification is appropriate for use in the following age ranges.
